2014 was an ideal growing season in Napa; it was warm punctuated by four nice bursts of hot weather. Harvest was a dream with fruit ripening evenly and arriving at the winery early and in beautifully healthy condition. The 2014 Route Stock Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon derives from vineyards in Rutherford, St. Helena and Oakville giving us an ideal mix of flavors to finely craft the wine into a classic Napa Valley Cabernet style; once tasted, you will know where this wine is from! – Napa Valley Vintners: Napa Valley Harvest Report 2014
The aromas of this wine seduce you with notes of cedar, bay laurel, cocoa and deep plum. The palate is expansive throughout with mouthwatering flavors of black plum, coffee, chocolate and savory hints of mushroom and bay leaf. The wine fills the mouth with richness, fruit, a bright acidity and just enough tannin to lengthen the wine into a great lingering aftertaste. The use of all five Bordeaux varietals adds to the complexity, depth and interest of this finely crafted Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. – Vance Rose, Winemaker
